Thank you!
There's one more thing you can do to help...
Andy Burnham looks set to be the next Prime Minister. We’re calling on him directly to back our campaign as one of his first missions in Government. Click the link below to send an email directly to Andy.
You’ve just written to your MP. It was simple, but it’s one of the most powerful things you can do for this campaign – and for the millions of people who rely on care.
MPs notice when their constituents write to them. Every time we talk to MPs, they tell us they never receive letters about the social care sector. Now they have.
The more of us who do it, the harder it is for politicians to keep treating social care as somebody else’s problem.
But one letter is just the start. Here’s what to do next.
1. Share the campaign with the people you know
Polling suggests that the average person doesn’t think social care is a Top 10 issue for the country. We need to fix that by making sure as many people as possible learn about the power of social care.
If everyone reading this brings two more people in to support the campaign, we will double our reach overnight.
Please share the campaign on social media – or send the link directly to a friend, a family member, or a colleague who you know cares about this.
Need something to say? Try this:
I’ve just emailed my MP about social care. Every one of us will need care, or knows someone who will. It’s a service every family will rely on, and one of the largest sectors in the British economy that supports every town and community.
The Government needs to know that investing in care is an investment in all our futures. Find out more and write to your MP in under a minute at careaboutcare.org
2. Sign the official petition
Alongside writing to your MP, you can add your name to our petition on the official Parliament website. If we reach 10,000 signatures, we get a response from the Government; at 100,000 signatures, the issue will be considered for debate in Parliament.
It takes 30 seconds. You’ll be asked for your name, email, postcode, and country.
